NORMAL – BloNo residents will have a chance to speak their mind on a proposal for allowing backyard chickens, as pets and egg production, in Normal. A public commission hearing on the issue is scheduled for 5 pm, June 9th, at the Normal City Hall.
Mike Sebald of BloNo Backyard Chickens presented on the proposal May 2nd, explaining the benefits of local food sustainability that is promoted by the proposal. BloNo Backyard Chickens is encouraging everyone in support of the proposal to attend the hearing and make that support known to the city council.
