On Saturday afternoon, September 10th, over 50 people attended a Common Action Free School panel discussion on Palestine solidarity and the upcoming UN vote to grant statehood to Palestine. The event took place at the Market Street Market community space.
On the panel, Issam Nassar first provided historical context of the Palestinian struggle, Rana Kunkar spoke of personal experiences living under the occupation of the Israeli government, Josh McGowen talked about his recent experiences traveling to Palestine through Jordan, and Mohamed Elkabbash addressed the recent campaign for Palestinian statehood. A discussion session followed the panel presentations.
Below are the presentations of the panelists. The presentations are divided into 7 parts, as follows: Issam Nassar (Parts 1-3), Rana Kunkar (Part 4), Josh McGowen (Part 5), and Mohamed Elkabbash (Parts 6-7).

The video posted as a comment, “Debunking the Palestine Lie,” is selective in its history and full of propagandistic technique. I’m not going to argue against every point, except to say that many conquerors claim that the land they took was “underdeveloped” and “underpopulated.” Sound familiar?
